Welcome to the AWANA ministry at Brooks Bethel Baptist Church. We are excited about the potential of ministering to your child. AWANA is a Christian club that teaches Biblical truths with an emphasis on scripture memorization. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. AWANA reaches this goal through a very structured and creative program, and makes it fun for those involved.

We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00–7:45pm during the school year. Check-in time is 5:45pm. Our inclement weather policy echoes that of the public schools. If school is canceled or dismissed early due to inclement weather, AWANA will be dismissed likewise. Should questions arise regarding inclement weather, you may call our church office to check our schedule of services.

When your child first begins in each club, he/she will receive an entrance booklet. This is the first step in AWANA achievement. Please help your child complete this booklet in the next two to three weeks. After completing the entrance booklet, your child is eligible to earn more awards as a member of his or her AWANA Club. We want to work with you in providing balanced physical, social, mental, and spiritual activities for your child.

We plan to have a full slate of additional AWANA activities as well. Some of these will include an AWANA Grand Prix, Sparks-A-Rama, AWANAGames, and Bible Quizzes as well as other opportunities. We invite you as parents to take an active role in our AWANA program by working with your child as he/she studies the handbook lessons. We will plan a special “Parents Night” for you to come and be a part of the club with your child, but in the meantime feel free to stop in and see what your child is doing at anytime.
